Every 7 minutes, someone becomes a victim of cardiovascular disease or stroke in Canada. Yet these are preventable and treatable.
That is why the CHUM Cardiovascular Centre is organising “Cardiovascular disease awareness day” on February 6 and 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Grande-Place du Complexe-Desjardins, Montreal.
The aim of this event is to raise public awareness about the importance of prevention and easy ways to achieve this.
Get an overview of your cardiovascular health and how to improve it, in just a few minutes. There are specialists, kinesiologists, nurses, technologists, nutritionists and psychologists waiting to help you.
This year once again, SOSCuisine is the only company invited by the CHUM to take part in this event as a partner in its Cardiovascular Centre.
We will present our ‘smart’ meal plans meant for hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes.
These meal plans are based on the Mediterranean diet, use a maximum of fresh and unprocessed ingredients and meet all the nutritional recommendations of the Heart & Stroke Foundation (Canada’s leading organization for heart disease and stroke), the American Heart Association (USA), DASH Eating Plan and Extenso (University of Montreal).
So we’ll see you there!
