I spent years trying to prevent the migraines!
In the end, it was just hormones, so I could pretty much count on losing one-three days a month, unless I had some migraine medication, which was a life saver!!
Over time, I did learn to decipher between headaches and migraines. Headaches were usually a result of being dehydrated, caffeine withdrawal, or too much alcohol. Migraines were due to a rapid drop in estrogen levels in my body just prior to getting my period.
Hope this is helpful!!

> Hi Marianne, I’m in a similar situation. What do you do to relieve hormonal migraines?

It’s unclear which hormones are at fault or perhaps what foods I crave at that time, but none of the foods mentioned are gauranteed triggers.
