According to several studies, drinking coffee can decrease the risks of type II diabetes. Of course, this means drinking real coffee and not sugary caffeinated beverages. The experts aren’t yet in agreement over the mechanisms involved, but they do agree that there are positive effects. It’s still not recommended to consume more than 3 cups of filtered coffee per day (or 3 portions of 1/4 cups of espresso).
