Last Sunday, Maëlle, the daughter of our colleague Vincent, turned 3. The happy father prepared 2 shack-shaped cakes, that were all the rage with the kids.
Vincent was kind enough to set aside for his colleagues a few precious pieces of the cakes, that we all enjoyed the next day in the office. We already appreciated Vincent’s ability as a programmer, now we know that he is also a fine “pastry cook” in his spare time.
And here’s a brief explanation of his master piece:
The shack on the left is a chocolate cake, with chocolate-tiles on the roof. The shack on the right is a vanilla-orange cake, with cookie-tiles on the roof. Chocolate pretzels are used for the windows, smarties for the masonry and wafers for the doors.
The little “garden” has sugar flowers and a stone path, made of chocolate candies.
