Vacations are an opportunity to recharge your batteries, relax and forget about your work and daily routine for a while. But they are not an excuse for setting aside your healthy lifestyle habits, quite the contrary!
Plan a physical activity of your choice, to burn off the excess calories from your meals at the restaurant. Carry some healthy and nutritional food while you are travelling, so that you can avoid outside food during the journey. If you are travelling by car, make sure to stop from time to time, in order to walk around and stretch your legs.
You can easily cut down on excessive calories in the restaurant by avoiding fried food or anything prepared with cream. It is better to order dishes that are as simple as possible: meat or fish that is either baked or grilled. And share your dessert with your companion.
If you are staying in a hotel, use the mini-fridge to store some essentials like yogurt, fruits, milk, etc. Non-perishable items like nuts, dry cereals, granola bars, etc. should also be kept handy.
In case you are renting a house with a kitchen or barbecue, you will be able to prepare delicious meals. Don’t forget that your SOSCuisine menu is always there for you, even during your vacation. If you don’t have access to a computer, you could at least carry an old menu with you, in which all the recipes are already printed. And the lack of time is not a valid excuse 😉
last week I did the Pork Tenderloin with Sweet Potatoe instead of using Grapefruit Juice with the Sewwt Potato I used Orange Juice and it was very good. Also the Aspargus Fettuine Pasta and Feta cheese, I used the Feta Cheese cold on top of the Hot Veggies and pasta and it was also delicious
